During the recording of “Laughing All The While” in 1999, Justin began work on a new musical approach with unconventional instrumentation. The results are found here. A “strumstick” formed the backbone of the tracks, with colorings from additional toy instruments. These 4-track recordings were to be assembled as an Echo Orbiter EP that would be volume 1 in a series of “Audio Children Books”. The project was considered a bit too much of a departure and thus became intended to be a side project under “The Three Penny Eggplant Symphony”, before it was ultimately abandoned.
